DGFT Notifies SION C-2049 for Mobile Phones — Effective 10 Oct 2025

DGFT has fixed a new Standard Input Output Norm (SION C-2049) under “Engineering & Electronic Items (Product Code ‘C’)” for mobile phones—standardising permissible inputs (sensors, ICs, connectors, passives, display assemblies, etc.) for Advance Authorisation.

GST 2.0 — Refunds & speed-ups you can use now

90% provisional refunds for IDS (Inverted Duty Structure) claims: CBIC has instructed field formations to provisionally sanction 90% of IDS refund applications (filed on/after 1 Oct 2025) to ease liquidity.

DGFT Update: Rice Export Policy (HSN 1006) — Effective 3 Oct 2025

  • Exports to EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway & Switzerland now need an EIC/EIA Certificate of Inspection.

  • Other European countries are exempt till 2 Apr 2026.

India Eases Agri Exports to Bhutan — Notification No. 36/2025-26 (3 Oct 2025)

Exports of milk, rice, wheat, tea, lentils, sugar, edible oils & more to Bhutan are now freely allowed — no restrictions.

RoDTEP Scheme Extended — Valid till 31 Mar 2026

Continuation for DTA, AA, SEZ, EOU at existing rates (subject to budget).
